Human Resource Management is important in providing support to both the organization and the employees and in creating a balance that will ensure optimum performance from the organizational and individual levels.  There are various interrelated and interdisciplinary functions of HRM that participants who are preparing to enter or re-enter the world of work should be familiar with.


This course will provide students with the opportunity to engage in various learning activities that will allow them to acquire the knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes to analyze and evaluate the HRM role in the dynamic work environment. It will also expose them to the study and practice of industrial relations focusing on trade unions and the institutions of collective bargaining.
