International Tourism Business is a course designed for students in Year 3 of the B.Sc. Cruise Shipping and Marine Tourism programme. The course exposes students to the global tourism industry. It will allow them to gain insight into the global tourism industry and help them to evaluate the impact of global issues on local tourism industry. Students’ perspective of tourism will be broadened as the course is designed to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. The course lays the foundation for a focus on the cruise tourism industry which is a subset of the wider tourism industry. It is aimed at preparing students for entry into the tourism industry with a solid foundation which includes the knowledge and skills required to function effectively.
